Architect and planner, César Ramírez Martinell is the chairman of Barcelona Housing Systems, a company active in the development, design and construction of affordable green housing.

After studying architecture, urban planning and landscape architecture at the University of Barcelona and in UC Berkley, César has gained more than 40 years of experience as an innovative architect, urban planner, entrepreneur and sought after international speaker. Following a 100-year-old architectural family tradition in Barcelona, he has been a key participant in the construction of some of Spain´s contemporary treasures, such as The Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao and The Olympic Village.
